It has been creating a reasonable amount of discussion on the web (just check it out) and today it’s time for me to add my own name to the number of reviewers. That’s right, right now I will be examining IMoviesClub. But what, you may well ask, should I be expecting in this critique? Permit me to explain it to you step-by-step:

This is not a review, it is an advert. It says nothing about formats, number of films available, resolution of downloads, speed of download, file sizes, etc. It merely uses the same wording as the company uses in its marketing literature. As everyone else’s review also seems to do the same, I am highly suspicious of this company. Are you genuinely unrelated to this company and have you even used the product? The internet is full of reviews and blogs about this product, all using similar wording. Having been a product reviewer for genuine bookshelf magazines for years, I am appalled that you have the gall to call this advert a review, when it says nothing about the services offered, but merely quotes meaningless stats. If you have used this product, please provide information that people might find useful: the number of films available, the claimed resolution of the films with a qualified evaluation; download speeds available; evidence of investigation as to the legality of the site. This is the bare minimum I would expect from any review.

  Hi Steve. Many thanks for your comment. I entirely understand where you’re coming from. I agree that my stats hardly constitute a thorough “review”. They are meant as a starting point – an indicator for people to help them decide whether the product might be worth purchasing. As I don’t have the resources currently to do an in-depth review of every product, this is the best I can offer people. It’s better than most sites manage, as you seem to have found out. Then, I offer this section for user reviews where I publish all comments, good or bad (again, most sites don’t do this). These comments I consider to be the real “reviews”.

Problem related to imoviesclub. Took my chances and tried to pay but card details not recognised. Tried again but still same message. I blocked my card immediately and currently awaiting a new one. Clickbank Marketplace is secure order. Had same problem as Steve, all using very similar ‘product marketing language’ and as such couldn’t find any proper reviews!

imoviesclub is ****, its all **** movies that iv never heard of before with bad quality and ****house acting, a complete waste of 40 dollars, dont waste your time or money,

I agree that this site does NOT have amny good movies to choose from at all?? For the min 3-mo price of $30,, I would request a refund if i could get one. So I guess im stuck with trying to get at least my money’s worth from what they have, which is NOT much to choose from? I dont think they have over 500 movies total to choose from?? I for one KNOW I am NOT renewing for another 3 mo-thats for sure!!

Don’t waste your money on Imoviesclub I don’t think any selection in their movie list was released AFTER 1970. Should have known better when I couldn’t find a movie list before enrolling.

Agree with all consumer reviews posted above. I thought I had researched the heck out of this site before plopping down the $$, and wish I would have found this site. It’s a complete waste of money – no titles worth watching, much less downloading. No children’s titles newer than 1990 and that’s just one anyway, the rest are pre-70′s, no family, no comedies that would be entertaining to anyone with two or more brain cells. I’m so disappointed.

Just joined up. I also wish I’d read this first. All other reviews seem to be written by imovies club staff. Or people who have only read the website blurb and not signed-up. So, $40 down the drain. Rubbish old movies (and/or ones that probably sank without trace). Overweighted with crappy horror films (I mean, CRAPPY ones). Read through the whole A-Z list, only found two movies I’d bother with if I was REALLY bored with nothing else to do like watch the grass growing. I’ve asked for a refund but will look out for flying pigs if I get one! The people who run imovies club must laugh every time they get a sucker signing-up.

After reading the reviews here I have one question I hope someone who has already seen the site’s movie list will answer for me. Not everyone is interested in getting this year’s movies; I am looking for older movies like 1931 original Dracula (bela lugosi), the silent film Metropolis, and Jimmy Stewart’s classic Harvey. So far no site I’ve checked has anything “that old”. Does imoviesclub have these and similar titles?

I was about to join but my healthy suspicon made me investigate further when all I found in reviews was the same adds made by the company Imovie. I was putting this website into the same category until I read a bit further. Saved $49.00 by a hair. thanks for your opinions

IMOVIESCLUB IS BAD…..I have not heard of most of the movies…I’m not sure if i would even call them B-grade….they are probably more like C-grade. Please do not waste your money as I did!!
